Bring the spirit of the new stadium's Family Circle into your home with this striking Wall Mounted Bison Head. With its lifelike detail, this wall-mounted sculpture makes a bold statement in any space. Perfect for Buffalo sports enthusiasts (or Western decor lovers!)

This is the same design and size as our solid colored Wall Mounted Bison Head, but made using a gradient material that appears to shift as you move across the room. Due to the gradient nature of the materials, no two are exactly alike.

We partnered with an artist on this design, then converted it to turn it into a wall hanging and make sure it had the perfect level of detail. From there, each one is made-to-order and shipped from our home studio.

Color options:
- Red/Blue - our most popular option
- Blue/Yellow - great for hockey fans
- Red/Black - also great for hockey fans!
- Black/White - has a grey-ish tone, looks like it was snowed on

Dimensions:
- Height: ~10.5 inches
- Width: ~7.5 inches
- Depth: ~5.5 inches

This is lightweight enough that you can hang with Command strips or double sided tape, but it has a key hole for a hook or nail as well. Indoor Use Only.

Fits beautifully in entryways, offices, living rooms, cabins, or gallery walls.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I hang it? Do I need hardware?

Command strips or double-sided tape work great on most of our bison heads. No drilling or wall anchors necessary. Most weigh less than 7 ounces so hold fine on drywall, tile, or paneling without hardware. There's also a keyhole slot molded into the back if you'd rather hang it on a hook or a nail.

Our 1990s Throwback bison is almost twice as heavy, at about one pound. For this one we do recommend using a hook or nail to hang, but you still do not need anchors or studs as it is still very lightweight.

How big is it?

The bison head measures about 10.5" tall, 7.5" wide, and about 5.5" deep. It can be seen clearly from across a room, but doesn't take over a wall. Many customers hang it above a basement bar, over a mantle, on a gallery wall, or in an office. If you're measuring a spot, plan for roughly the footprint of a standard size piece of paper, standing up the tall way (portrait orientation.)

Because of the size, many customers purchase more than one and make their own family circle of bison at home! Check out our Bison Bundles for savings on multiples.

What is is made of? Will it feel cheap?

Each piece is 3D printed in our own shop from PLA, a plant-based bioplastic. We hand-finish and assemble each piece before it ships. The bison have a matte finish that hold the fine detail that our (human!) artist intended and feel solid to the touch. The color runs all the way through the material and is not painted on, so it won't chip, scratch off, or fade. Being lightweight is one of the benefits: it allows you to easily hang the piece hang without hardware.

Can these be used outdoors?

No, we recommend indoor use only. The PLA material we use to make these can become soft if left in direct sunlight or extremely warm temperatures for an extended amount of time.

If you'd like to request a custom bison designed to be outside that is made of a more duarable material, contact us.

How fast will it ship?

Most orders ship within 1–3 business days, then take 2–6 business days in transit via USPS, FedEx, or UPS. Some of our items, like the 1990s Throwback, or the Two Tone Bison require multiple parts, hand assembly, and cure time. We note this on the product page so you know. Allow up to 5 business days for these items to ship.

As the holidays approach we will keep the product pages updated with shipping lead times and product availability. This is a *very* small shop (as in, zero employees!) so order early if you want a bison for Christmas - we had to limit orders last year.

You'll get a tracking number by email as soon as your order leaves our shop in Nashville, TN. Our full shipping policy can be found here.

Why are there limited runs?

Some of our bison take many hours to print (plus finishing, assembly, and curing time), so we occasionally will release them in small batches instead of holding deep stock. We only have so many hours and printers, and run everything from our home studio.

When a version sells out, we usually bring it back the following month, but limited editions tied to a season or a moment don't always return. If there's one you're waiting on or wondering if it is coming back, email us at hello@modoworks.co and we're happy to help.

Can I get a different color? Do you take custom requests?

We love custom requests! Our Two Tone bison started as a custom order from Bob in Rochester who wanted red eyes and red horns; we liked it enough to make it available to everyone. Use the form on our contact page to let us know what you have in mind.

Who makes these?

ModoWorks is a small shop in Nashville, and every piece is designed, printed, finished, and packed by us. Nothing is outsourced, nothing is drop-shipped, and nothing is designed with AI.

We paid a graphic designer to help with the original design of the bison, converted it to a working 3D model ourselves, and hand finish everything one at a time. Every order then goes in our car and to the post office, every day.

Why Buffalo stuff? I grew up just outside Erie, PA on the NY border and seal all the boxes with tears gathered from watching the four Superbowls when I was a kid.
